I made homemade Gluten Free Granola Cereal for the 1st time this week. It taste wonderful and is so easy to make.

Gluten Free Granola Cereal

3 cups Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Quick Cooking Oats
(Use Regular rolled Oats if your not Gluten Free)
Optional: Bob's Red Mill Ground Flax seeds Meal about 1/3 cup or more to your liking
1 cup sliced or chopped Almond
1 cup Chopped Walnuts
3/4 cup Shredded Sweet Coconut
1/4 cup Brown Sugar packed
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil

1-2 cup Raisins and/or any variety of dried fruits of your choice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250*
In a large bowl, combine the oats, ground flax seeds, almonds, walnuts, coconut, brown sugar and salt
In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup and oil.
Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 cookie sheets lined with parchment paper
Bake for about 1 hour
Stirring/Turning every 15 minutes to get nice and golden brown and not burnt on the edges
Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and dried fruits of your choice. You could add cinnamon too for a variation.

Cool completely then  in a container or Ziplock bags.
Homemade Granola has about a 2 week shelf life.

I freeze most of my Granola in a Ziplock bag then place in a container. I only keep a small amount out..usually  2-3 days worth.

  1. Not only did I love the granola I made from this recipe (first time I've ever made my own granola), but my co-workers have been urging me to make more ever since! I added cinnamon as otherwise the sea salt tasted a little strong. Thanks Brenda!

    1. Hi,, sorry for the delay on replying. Im happy that you and your co-workers enjoyed the Granola. I have another recipe that I as well add cinnamon. Its so much cheaper to make your own. They charge a fortune for a small box at the store!! Thanks for your comment!! Brenda
